Ashland, Oregon 97520

Nestled in the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains at the base of Mt. Ashland, you will find the city of Ashland.  A charming, small town of approximately 21,600 residents with a thriving economy fueled largely by two enviable industries...  education and tourism.

Ashland OR - Community & Attractions

Ashland has always been a mecca for those seeking cultural experiences and diversity.

Southern Oregon University, established in 1872, has a small college feel yet boasts all of the benefits of a major University.  SOU is a four-year public university specializing in liberal arts, sciences, and select graduate and professional programs.  Southern Oregon University was recently chosen by the New York Times as one of twenty "hidden gems" in higher education.

Lithia Park in Ashland, Oregon includes 93 acres of refuge just moments from downtown Ashland.  A popular wedding and event location Lithia Park features year round Ashland Creek flowing through undeveloped woodlands, hiking trails, lawns, tennis courts, picnic areas and an outdoor ampitheatre.  The park attracts thousands of visitors yearly.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is one of the nation's most celebrated theater companies.  Each year from February through October the festival presents a variety of plays in three unique theaters including the breathtaking, outdoor Elizabethan stage.

The Oregon Cabaret Theatre (Ashland's "Other" Theatre) presents lively musicals, revues and comedies, all produced in an intimate setting.  "The Cab" is renowned for gourmet dinners, desserts with a fine selection wines and beverages and of course wonderful stage shows to complete your experience

Located just 30 minutes from Ashland, the community owned Mt. Ashland Ski Area is the highest mountain in Southern Oregon's Siskiyou Range.  From the 7,533 foot summit, skiers and snowboarders ride a vertical drop of 1,150 feet.  Four chairlifts provide access to the 23 trails as well as open bowl skiing.  The mountain's 200 acres of skiing offer a number of challenging runs, leading locals to brag: "If you can ski Mount Ashland, you can ski anywhere".
